1 | MISSION

How can technology make the expansion of wind energy in Germany more transparent for everyone, facilitate the exchange of knowledge and enable all stakeholders to learn from each other - so that the target of 115 GW by 2030 can be achieved?

PROLOGUE

Some context
is a must here

The energy transition in Germany requires an expansion of wind energy to 115 GW by 2030. The rate of expansion varies greatly at state and district level.

For the first time, the NGO Project Together has set itself the goal of developing a platform that evaluates and brings together all data points on the expansion of wind energy in all federal states.

The Goal100 platform exclusively and transparently presents all data on energy volumes and expansion rates at district level in order to share knowledge and give all stakeholders the opportunity to successfully master the energy transition together.

2 | BRANDING

A modern brand for
transparency and the future

The visual design of the Goal100 brand was conceived from a digital perspective. A characteristic font for the logo and headlines is complemented by a font optimized for digital applications. The colors characterize the brand, but leave enough room for a custom color palette in the data visualization.

Dynamic logo
with current status

Next to the name of the initiative, the logo with dots shows one tenth of the expansion target and thus provides the status quo of the current expansion of wind power energy: 3 dots = 30% current expansion.

3 | DESIGN SYSTEM

One system for
a scalable data dashboard

The Goal100 Monitor was developed to be fully responsive

The Goal100 Monitor is based on a flexible, scalable and detailed design system that includes not only the platform itself, but also all types of data visualization - from charts and figures to hint boxes, error messages and methodology explanations.

An extensive collection of UI elements, dashboard components and Kirby building blocks was created in FIGMA for this purpose. This means that future extensions to the monitor can also be implemented quickly and efficiently.

CLIENTS VOICE

„acb.studio was the perfect partner for the Goal100 dashboard - our values and methods complement each other perfectly!

Together, we focus on sustainable software development that fits seamlessly with our core mission of the energy transition. With Kirby as a CO₂-friendly CMS, we have made a forward-looking choice. The successful launch confirms: the right decision all along the line!”

4 | KIRBY CMS

A dreamteam of
Kirby, SvelteKit & Supabase

The Goal100 Monitor is based on a combination of headless Kirby CMS, SvelteKit (front end) and Supabase (back end). Editors work in the Kirby Panel, while SvelteKit retrieves and processes the data from Supabase via KQL (Kirby's Query Language API).

The advantage: even complex and nested queries only require a single request - this ensures minimal data transfer and high performance.

5 | PARTNERSHIP & PRESS

Joint impact for
the energy transition

Goal100 is a non-profit think tank that aims to accelerate the expansion of renewable energies through transparent data and good practice examples. The initiative emerged from the voluntary work of the Climate Action Dinners, which have been connecting people from science, business, art, music, sport and activism since 2022 to drive forward concrete climate protection and democracy projects.

Originally launched as a mission of Project Together, Goal100 is financially supported by Google.org, among others.

Through the partnership between Project Together and acb.studio, we underline our commitment and purpose to develop digital products within planetary boundaries and thus make our contribution to sustainable growth and a better society.
